Where your RM50 goes

A seed planted in 2011

Honey Khor smiling beside a schoolboy in Cambodia, holding up his painting

In 2011, Honey started a sponsorship project for children from struggling families at Samanki School in Siem Reap. It kept children in class until COVID stopped everything in 2020.

These four workshops carry that seed forward, in collaboration with Colors of Cambodia, a non-profit free art school in Siem Reap founded by American artist and educator Bill Gentry. 100% of every seat goes to the children, for school supplies and food.

“Kindness does not need to be grand to make a difference.”

Questions

Do I need any art experience?

None at all. Honey shows you each technique step by step, and she is there the whole afternoon if you want guidance.

What if I don’t know what to make?

That is completely fine. In art therapy we respect your individuality and your need to express yourself, so there is no right or wrong piece. If you are unsure, Honey will help you find a starting point.

What is included?

All materials, tea and snacks. You take your finished piece home.

Who can join?

Adults. Each workshop has 20 seats.

Can I join more than one?

Yes. Each workshop is RM50, and each one uses a different medium, so every afternoon feels new. Reserve them one at a time, or WhatsApp us to book several.

Where does my RM50 go?

100% of it goes to the children of Samanki School in Siem Reap, Cambodia, for school supplies and food. We run this in collaboration with Colors of Cambodia, a free art school in Siem Reap.

I can’t come. Can I still help?

Yes. You can give any amount from RM10 on our donation page, and every ringgit goes to the same children.
